What is Beta?

 

Generally, a website starts in Alpha, a stage in which it is barely functional and usually no one sees it but the web developers. The next stage is Beta, when the site is not yet finished or polished but needs testing and exploration by actual users. Do NOT expect in beta the site to work properly in every way. The beta phase is for finding bugs, problems, glitches, awkwardness, et cetera.

This is where you come in. We have enlisted our users in the beta phase. Who better to test functionality, new features and find problems? Usually, new beta releases appear every few weeks until all the problems are gone.

Sometimes, the first few beta releases do not yet include all features. For example, SalonBlabbermouth Beta 1 does not have the option to flag reviews, Google Maps, Advertisement, custom design, testimonial script or official logo.

If you want to participate in the beta phases, be prepared for some problems, be patient as we update the sites function and features. Nevertheless, you also get to be a part of the creation, before the actual release comes out.

As long as the beta stamp is on the front page and navigation bar, were in beta mode. You automatically become of apart of our beta testing when you register as a new user. Be sure to read the terms of service.

Now, poke around the site and all the links listed and see what it can do and watch for problems. To really participate, head for the contact page and provide us feedback on problems you encounter. If you have suggestions we should add or delete let us know.
